Yes, hmmbabyduck had been on hiatus for the last 19 months. You must have thought we’ve forgotten the whole bloggy thing, did you?  Well, here’s starting 2010 with Poo and Boo’s ”Best of 2009″!

First of all thanks to my gorgeous Poo for all the love and support… love you love you!

1. We got engaged! A very special surprise proposal my Poo made on the 19th of April 2009

2. Engagement Parties!  Fabulous family and friends on the 21st of April in NZ, the 19th of September 2009 in Sydney and 8th of November in Manila! Wow three parties in three continents

3. Justice Mikhail – Newest addition to Frando Family – sooo cute!

4. I lost 5 kilos! I I now fit perfectly in my wedding gown!

#1: At Home Dates

Thanks to the magic squirrel, taking turns giving each other massages can be easy and fun. Plus getting too relaxed at the bath tub always works

#2: Blu-Ray Movie Night

With matching conniesur ice cream for dessert. Or if Poo’s in the mood for slices of rhubarb crumble or cheesecake, we can always make some together

#3: Artsy Dates

Bush Poetry Reading, sculpture by the sea, art galleries are free, so we can always check out the latest and greatest by artists in our area.

#4: Local Concerts

Wow free concerts at the Tumbalong Park, free band at the Hyde Park, free opera at the Domain.

#5: Balmoral Beach

With hand-painted blanket and picnic basket, we can enjoy a bright and sunny afternoon with wine, jarlsberg cheese and crackers. Plus hmmm yummy chocolates!

1. Tai Chi in Christchurch

The experience of tai chi with a group of enthusiasts, priceless. Boo also officially got her very own uniform! White shirt with matching black flat shoes. So exciting

2. Amazing NZ

Jaw dropping sceneries – greenest valleys and  bluest seas – Akaroa, Hamner Spring, Timaru, Sumner Beach, Kikora - just fabulous. Alpacas, Sheep and Cow herds abound the picturesque nature backdrop

3. Balderdash Mania

Introducing, our favorite boardgame – Balderdash – We learned new words and facts and had fun at the same time! Trying to bluff players has never been this hilarious.

4. Treats Galore

Yes, our NZ holiday was full of treats! There had been bright and sunny afternoons. The weather was warm but company was definitely warmer.

5. Lovely weather

Gorgeous average of 25 degrees C. What a lovely time to stroll in the city and just marvel NZ. Pure, clean, fantastic!

“Jamming”

Sounds great doesn’t it? You don’t have to be the best guitar player nor the greatest singer as myself. All you need is Poo’s perfect djembe rhythms and you are all set to stardom.

Having fun together and playing good music is just fantastic Now that’s cool.

Imagine…Sculptures set against the beautiful backdrop of Tasman Sea and Bondi Beach. Plus the company of my pogi Poo, a couple of good friends, and some nice refreshing free drinks - What else can you want?

Well, I personally hoped the event manual was for free. And because it was not, might as well come up with my very own interpretations of a couple of sculptures we gazed upon.

“Where’s my birdie?”

This is what happens when you get fat, you won’t be able to see birdie anymore.

It was “I” that was missing. “I” is a very important letter.

Can’t imagine things happening without me, myself and “I” in the whole scheme of things.

Our Tomato Plant Project

In three months, we are harvesting beautiful red cherry tomatoes from our mini farm. 10cm x 10cm piece of land with bountiful sprouts c/o Helen our tai chi teammate. A little bit of drink and a little bit of sunshine, and one day we’ll be picking our very own tomatoes for a lovely greek salad.  

Speaking of sunshine, my Le Poo got me some lovely daisies, which kept the interiors bright and sunny. Thanks to the real sunshine of my life – my sweet Poo…xxxoxox

On Thursday, my Poo and I went to a rhythm safari concert where we played our own little djembe drums. Song lyrics were quite cheesy but the whole night was fun!  

There’s no other way to extend our “hit me like a drum” rave than to go to another African drumming concert along King St on Sunday night. Three hours of non-stop djembe drumming – how can you beat that?

If that wasn’t enough, my Poo and I went home to our own personal djembe, lent to us by a couple of dear friends Angela and Rob.  

So, my Poo, do you want to be “hit like a drum”?
